Fiat and Chrysler merger possible by 2014

Fiat and Chrysler merger possible by 2014:

Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive of Chrysler andFiat said at a conference that Fiat and Chrysler merger would be finalized in the next 3 to 4 years. Italian auto makers Fiat, and their US counterparts Chrysler Group were to be brought together by 2014 and all efforts are on to see this merger through.
Marchionne said that before this was bought into effect, Fiat would have to take a call together with United Auto Workers on what must be done with the 41.4% share in Chrysler besides getting together the necessary financing. He also feels that merging these two companies would ensure reduction in costs, and higher targets, not to mention, profits and revenues.
According to financial analysis, Fiat's losses now stand at €800 million per annum. Fiat which owns 53.5% in Chrysler would be increasing their percentage to 58.5% by end 2011. Marchionne was working towards this merger which he feels will ensure that Fiat who's share prices are tumbling will be on its way to becoming a profit making company as it joins hands with Chrysler.
Currently, the Chrysler Group and Italian parent, Fiat are keen to put on display 30 "Moparized" vehicles at the SEMA show. Thsi will include two customized Fiat Cinquecentos, the 500 Carbon based on the 2012 Fiat 500 Sport, and 500 Titanium. Based on the 2011 Ram R/T comes the Ram 392 Quick Silver pickup truck, named aptly because of its triple-silver paint scheme. From The Dodge label, the Challenger SRT8 ACR, and Durango Tow Hook will take a bow.
