Geneva: BMW X6 M50d strikes the right chord with diesel engine aficionados (Photos)
For now BMW has displayed the X6 M50d at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The 3.0 liter equipped with 3 turbochargers will deliver 376hp and produce 545 pound feet torque. Expect 0 to 60 mph in less than 5.3 seconds. The top speed is limited at 155 mph. An 8-speed Sports automatic transmission will come as standard. Inside the cabin will be exclusive Alcantara/ Nappa leather upholstery.The demand for diesel variants has increased significantly globally. A number of auto enthusiasts are switching to diesel engines because of high savings through fuel efficiency. BMW knows consumer preferences too well. The famed German auto maker will be soon introducing the 2012 X6 M50d belonging to the M performance line of vehicles in Europe.
The M logo will be on seats and gearshift lever. Brushed aluminum trim strips will adorn the interiors of the X6 M50d. M-line specific springs, dampers, body shell mounting and suspension will be present on the BMW X6 M50d.
